End Week Ten

Is it over yet? Remind me again why I do this? Maybe because it’s an excuse to get outside and let my pasty white limbs soak up some vitamin D, or to burn off the delish pasta with spicy and creamy clam sauce that I have perfected (toot, toot my own horn). Whatever the reason I made it through another week. The last long run before my taper starts this week. Ended up doing most of the CHaD course this morning. Sunny and hot. Ran 12 miles in all but had to stop a couple of times after Tuck Drive… Bastard! Walked between miles 12-13 to “cool” down (too hot to actually get cool) to where my car was parked by where the start/finish is. So did a bit more than planned but with the walking and brief stops I did my twelve. Felt a little queasy when got back to the car but cranked the AC and stopped for my new postrun meal of oven roasted chicken breast sandwich on wheat, 6 incher, at Subway. With all the veggies and small piece of chicken it makes for a good recovery meal for me. My tummy feels better and I am iceing my legs right now. Feel good. But boy, today was a rough run. I am determined to kick Tuck’s ass so I plan to hit that route several times this summer before CHaD. Of, I forgot to mention that this run was especially not awesome because my MP3 player broke so I ran silent. I was looking forward to running with Nigel, but bollocks! Looks like I need to order another one ASAP before Bridges in two weeks. Anywho. Enjoy the summer weather.

Keep chugging along,
Amy
