Ah yes, that is very close by. And the building that the guy set up the main camera from is one that I frequently work on (in?). And I was driving the “2 men and a truck” truck! Just kidding.
I am always surprised how people can ignore blatant flashing lights warning them that they are about to hit the bridge.
I was wondering the same thing. The people in the rental trucks I sort of understand, but not the ‘pros’.
We have a lot of bike related trauma around here. The coffee shop I go to in the morning is actually a little food trailer that you can pull up along side. They have a metal awning that pops up when they’re open, and I have come very close to clipping it once or twice. In the morning it’s very easy to forget there’s something up there. A car in front of me actually did ram it a few weeks ago with two bikes.
My favorite is a house nearby with a sign hanging from the rafters in their garage that says ‘BIKE?’ in big letters. I suspect they’ve tried to get into their garage at least once with bikes on the roof. 🙂 I should try and grab a picture of it some day.
I had forgotten, but a version of this actually got quite a lot of local website chatter a few years ago:
I probably shouldn’t have taken a sip of hot tea when I started watching. Almost spit when The Undefeated arms popped up. There should be some kind of Go-Go-Gadget rubber punching bag that pops out of the bridge to knock trucks back. And another one driver-level.
