Training, Day Four


Running outside this morning at 6:45am.  3 miles.  Slight chill in the air.  This weekend is supposed to be beautiful, so I’m looking forward to the run on Saturday.  Also hoping to get out with Ben for a bike ride on Sunday.  As much as  I love winter, I’m getting tired of running in the cold.  Makes it somewhat harder to breathe and muscles don’t warm up well, so short runs end up feeling longer because the entire run is basically a warm up.  3 miles yesterday on the eliptical at the gym.  Boring, but the days of having to work out inside are coming to an end.  What helps is having good stuff to listen to.  I’ve gotten into listening to The Three Wine Guys podcasts, so I run listening to 3 guys drink and talk about good wines.  Also I like listening to The Splendid Table podcasts.  Food.  Wine.  Running.  My holy trinity.

  2. The beauty of spandex is it will expand with the gut yet also hold it firmly in place to minimize the jingle. Take the plunge into spandex
