Today is day one of training for the first of my half-marathons and since today is Monday, it is a rest day! I ran 5 miles yesterday so it’s good to rest today. Tomorrow starts the running portion of training. Today I start trying to start cutting back on snacks after dinner and vino with dinner, at least during the week. Gotta give myself something to look forward to on the weekends. This Saturday, Shamrock Shuffle, a 5k road race in Lebanon, NH. My parents and Ben will be there and will toast the start of the running season with Guinness afterwards. It has been great to be able to run outside again. After running on a treadmill most of the winter, it’s taken a bit to get my road legs back. But I’m getting there, one step at a time.
More later this week and hopefully some pictures from Saturday’s race.
Keep movin’,
Amy
