Tis the season for signing up for races and I made it into the Covered Bridges Half Marathon (June 5) and The Road to the Pogue (May 14). Covered Bridges sold out quickly again and I managed to get my iPhone chugging away at 7pm on Monday night when registration opened. Pogue is a little less frenzied to sign up for, although they do have a cap on runners. Next will be signing up for the CHaD half (last weekend in August), but there is not a limit on runners for that. We will also be doing the Prouty again (July 9). I also plan/hope to sign up for the Bay State Half Marathon (Oct 16th?). So it will be a three half marathon year, if training goes well and I’m injury free. My hamstring is healing nicely and the bi-weekly sports massages have helped a lot, as has the foam roller. I am able to run with some soreness/tightness in the upper hamstring, but I can run through it and it doesn’t last as long post-run. Will start training soon for my first 5k in March, the Shamrock Shuffle. Another season is almost upon me! Run for it!
