So ends the 2010 race season on a fast note. I completed the Harpoon 3.6 miler in 31:20, coming in 318th out of 843 runners. This was was 20 seconds faster than my 2009 time of 31:42. I submitted my guesstimate of my 5k time (as there was no 5k marker on the course) of 26:30 to the World Wide Festival of Races website. It was a beautiful day, the only thing I will complain about is that the sun was GLARING in our faces as we ran up the mile long first hill. Even with sunglasses, I was squinting. Aside from that, it was a wonderful day full of running, delicious beer, and good friends (Ben and Beth). Later this week, I will do a recap post of the 2010 race season, hopefully with my times in all the races I ran this year. Thanks for your support in reading this little journaling experiment and I hope to continue it in the next racing season.

Looks like she survived 🙂
Congratulations Amy !
She did. I’m proud to say I survived 3 beers whilst sitting in the sun as well. Normally I can tolerate about 1 and then I’m laid up for the rest of the day. So in a way, we’re all champions.
Just train harder, Ben. You’ll get there. 🙂
