This Sunday is the Harpoon Octoberfest 3.6 mile race. It is also the weekend of the WWFR. I will be running (virtually) with over 600 other runners from all over the world who have signed up to run races of various lengths. I even have a race bib to wear!
This weekend will also be my last race of the 2010 season. I had planned on running a Turkey Trot in November but I will be attending my nephew’s christening as godmother. He is much more important and cute to boot. I will write an end-of-the-season review after Sunday. The race on Sunday is the perfect combination of running, funny costumes, and beer. I always approve of running towards beer. Look for pics from this weekend’s race and fest to be posted sometime next week .

It’s important to note that you named yourself midpack, which is fabulous.
I was originally “Aimster” but it kept defaulting me to running a half marathon. So I created another name for myself. I tend to be somewhere in the middle of the pack (sometimes towards the back of the middle, sometimes smack dab in the middle) so I thought it was an appropriate name for myself. I am going to wear the bib on my back on Sunday. Gotta recognize WWFR. There are also a couple of Phedip. podcasts about the WWFR where racers and family/friends send audio files of themselves cheering and supporting the racers in the WWFR which I think is awesome. I will record my 5k time out of the 3.6 I will be running. It will be a guesstimate because I don’t think they mark the 5k spot on the course.
How’d it go?
