So here is what I’ve come up with for myself. From previous experience, I usually end up switching some days or weeks, depending on what is going on in my life. Like trying to train last year while on our honeymoon in Alaska. Trying to run on the treadmill while the ship was at sea and riding the swells was painful! This year so far looks like smooth running for both halfs, but I’m prepared for anything. EXCEPT THE STOMACH FLU. ANYTHING BUT THAT PLEASE! Seriously, it was awful. Anyway, feel free to add comments on my schedule and my plan is to keep people posted weekly or so on how things are progressing. Plan will start week of March 15th. My first race of the season is March 20th, the Shamrock Shuffle, a 5k road race that ends with having a pint of Guinness. How delightful! My parents and Ben will be there to cheer me on.
