cbhm photos
Here are the promised photos from the covered bridges run. I feel a little bad for the old format with all our latest photos going here. Cobwebs and dust are starting to become the dominant force over there. We have an upcoming trip to Sonoma, CA that will hopefully generate enough content to justify an […]

Official Race Post
So part two of my summer triad is completed. Covered Bridges done and done. Except it almost did Ben and I (and my parents) in with the disaster that was the parking arrangements. Pre-race emails referenced that they had improved things in this area over last year, when traffic was held up for over 1.5 […]

First Impressions
Great race…crappy organization of parking. Stuck at standstill in lot. Going for lunch instead. More later

Two Days and Counting
Weather for Sunday looks rainy and cool. I like the cool part. Not the rainy part. If it rains, though, I won’t feel as bad not having an MP3 to run with. I ordered a new one over a week ago and it looks like it won’t be here in time. “Always look on the […]

End Week Eleven…The Countdown Begins
Beautiful weather this Memorial Day weekend. Ben and I hit the road yesterday for a long bike ride from Lyme to Hanover and back. Today did a 5 mile run. Sunny and warm. Seven days until Covered Bridges. The countdown begins! I’m getting nervous, realizing that field-wise, this is the biggest race I’ve even run, […]

Lackluster
The past couple of running mornings have been dreadful. I feel tired and sluggish, like my body parts aren’t quite connected. Maybe it’s a sign that I am tired in general or that the end of training is nigh (I love that word. Always wanted to use it). I have to muster energy for my […]

End Week Nine
Only three more weeks until Covered Bridges. Ended week with a bike ride. Again, no matter what direction I was headed in I had a head wind. It’s been windy all day. I’m sitting out back right now enjoying the first margharita of the season but i’m heading back inside because the wind is chilly. […]

Raptor Run
I made it. Got up early and ran a relaxed 6 miles then came home, showered, fueled up, and headed back down for the race. Small group of local runners and kids. Made 5 in a bit over 45 min which was good for me. So got my 11 in and it didn’t rain! Hopefully […]
